When should I calibrate the scanner?

The calibration feature is designed for resetting the internal parameters of the scanner. However, it is not recommended to calibrate a brand-new scanner. Normally, the scanners do not need to be calibrated after leaving the factory.

We recommend calibrating in these situations:

• If the 3D model's surface looks very rough or grainy. Click Video and check the rough and grainy model surface. 

• If markers can't be recognized in Marker Mode. Click Video and check how Marker Mode works normally.
